Who we are
Music to Venue (“Music to Venue,” “we,” “us”) operates musictovenue.com, an online marketplace that connects musicians, bands and DJs with venues and event hosts that book live music. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@musictovenue.com.

Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, referring site and whether a form was submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the date and time of requests, for security and troubleshooting.
- Spam protection: our forms use hidden fields and rate limits based on IP address to block automated spam.
How we use your information
- To review your early access request, set up your profile and contact you about Music to Venue.
- To match artists with venues and open dates that fit their genre, location, budget and availability, including through Smart Match, our matching feature.
- To send a welcome email and occasional updates about the platform and launches in your city. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To respond to questions, improve the site, measure our marketing and keep the service secure.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run the site and communicate with you, including our web host (HostGator), our email provider (Sender.net) and Google Analytics. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Other members, when you choose: once profiles and booking features are live, information you publish on your profile, and details you include in a booking request or offer, will be visible to the artists or venues you interact with.
- Legal and safety reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Music to Venue, our users or others.
- Business transfers: if Music to Venue is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics across sites with the Google Analytics opt out browser add on. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing hello@musictovenue.com. We may still send you messages about an active booking or your account.
How long we keep information
We keep early access and contact submissions for as long as needed to evaluate your request and run the platform, generally no longer than 3 years after our last contact with you unless you have an active account. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising. This includes rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Nevada law (NRS 603A, which lets Nevada residents opt out of the sale of covered information) and the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information, but you may still submit any request by emailing hello@musictovenue.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children
Music to Venue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian submit on their behalf. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows. We will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or on the site.
